Today we had a lecture by Rebecca outlining the plans for Easter break, she tasked about how Easter break should be used for researching, exploring and experimenting with different ideas we might like to carry forward into our Final Major Project.

The talk itself has definitely made me realise I need to start experimenting more with ideas and I know that the 3 week Easter break coming up will be the perfect opportunity for me to showcase different ideas and experimentations.
I will also have to reflect on this work, and plan forward for my final project.
She said that we shouldn’t actually be creating our final piece during the breaks but instead just finalising ideas and being able to feel confident in the plans we have.
She also emphasised the thought that experimentation doesn’t always go well, and it’s from experimentations that we find out whether an idea is good or not.
I think I am definitely a perfectionist that is scared of failure, and I don’t want my work to look bad, as when it does, I feel like my work isn’t good and I begin to doubt my own ability but Rebecca’s talk has made me realise in order for me to realise what I’m good at, I need to find out what I’m bad at.
Overall:
We have 3 weeks off for Easter break starting next week, and I am going to spend these 3 weeks coming up with my final ideas and experimenting a lot with different techniques, idea sand processes, and I am definitely excited see how my work turns out.
