23/3 - Maidstone Studios Applicant Day

2004946

Today I had my Maidstone Studios Applicant Day, where I had to show them my portfolio, and they said they were going to continue on with my offer after looking at it.

It was just me, the tutor, and a student and they walked me round into many of the rooms in the studios, and it gave me an opportunity to ask lots of questions.

My mind is definitely made up about going there, and I think it’s a shame that I didn’t go through D2D, as I won’t get the perks that they offer, but then again if I had, I wouldn’t have taken the risk and would have always been left wondering “what if…”, so in a way, I’m glad I went through UCAS because now I am solid on my choice.

There is amazing opportunities studying at Maidstone and if it means sacrificing 3 years of partying and having fun, for 3 years getting ahead in the field I want to go into and having a solid opportunity of work afterwards, that’s what I am going to do. Of course I will still have so much fun at Maidstone Studios but it’s not the ‘away experience’ I was looking for.

Overall I’m happy and confident in my choices, and I just need to talk to my tutors about signing up for student financing as it won’t let me select Maidstone Studios as an option.
