Now that is is the Easter holiday, I am currently in Norfolk so not able to borrow any equipment from UCA, and I don’t own a camera to test out filming things with. So instead I found an app called Filmic Pro, which basically gives your phone film camera qualities and allows you to shoot cinematic footage on your phone, and change the settings too.
The Pro option allows you to film in either a flat or log profile (something which I have been looking to try out, especially as it is essential for colour grading), as well as other effects like being able to change the cameras ‘focus ring’, and steadying the camera to give it a controlled shot, as if you’re using a Gimble.
Other features include being able to change the temperature of the videos before you even film it, changing the frame rate settings, the resolution, the saturation, and other effects too.

The effect that has interested me most has definitely been the cinematic camera stabiliser, as I can now shoot footage on my phone, without having to even borrow a Gimble from UCA. This gives me the freedom to film whatever I want, whenever I want.

Conclusion:
Overall, I still need to spend some time getting used to the features of the app, but once I do it will allow me to create footage wherever and whenever I want.
