The original narrative I had drawn for my storyboard
Today I drew the storyboard for my film, and photocopied the original narrative I had, then cut up the scenes and played around with different orders to position the scenes i had drawn.
This is because both Memento and The Father have non-linear narratives, which help to create a subjective view of the protagonist, and help the audience connect with the storyline in a personal way, as we are viewing the world through the protagonist’s eyes.
I also want my film to connect with my audience in that way, so by doing this it helped me to come up with different orders for the story, I wouldn’t have originally thought of. Therefore when editing my film, I will take into consideration the different narratives I have produced by doing this.
Different narratives I had produced by cutting up the original storyboard and rearranging the order of scenes.
