Editing my photos

This week i have been choosing which photos I'm going to use in my magazine, and have been editing them in photoshop.

Below are some examples, before on the left, after on the right:

These are the masks I created to edit the photo above, I created brightness masks (one light and one dark), and painted on the effect stroke by stroke until I had the effect that I wanted. By putting the opacity of the brush at around 6%, I could slowly build it up layer by layer. I also created red and green layer masks because by increasing the brightness it slightly washed out the colour a little bit.
