Today i'm working on finishing my film, and particularly trying to create my last scene, so far i have managed to use the masks fine, but i've realised the shadows in both videos are different, as one of the videos he's walking towards the mirror, and the other he is just standing still, so there is a clear line where the two videos are split.
I've attached the video below, but i'm definitely not happy with the outcome of this try, i will continue to try and get it to look like how i want it to.
Ver. 1
My second attempt i decided to use different clips (there was a failed clip where he was just standing in front of the mirror as we waited for a car to pass our house), so that way i wouldn't have the shadow of him walking up to the mirror.
I also feathered out the mask so the two clips would slightly blend together more and not look completely stacked on top of eachother.
Ver. 2
I also tried to match up both clips together and use the lumetri colour effect to do basic colour correction and edit the exposure/contrast/curves in both clips to make sure they both look the same.
In the screenshot above you can see the mask i've created on my clip (outlined in brown), on the right you can see the lumetri colour effect i applied to my clips, and on the left you can see the exact change to my curves i created on my videos. At the bottom you can also see that i added 50.0 pixels of mask feather, to help blend the two clips.
Overall i'm really happy with how my second attempt came out, and i think i will using it as my final clip in my film.
