Experimental Film Editing

Today we edited the clips we took on Tuesday for our experimental film. I decided to take the brief quite literally and recreate 'Man on Platform One', but instead, i decided to twist it a bit and make the narrative about a woman jumping on the tracks instead. I used the same music as man on platform one, to create the same effect. I also decided to repeat the same clip of a 'Mind The Step' sign, each time increasing the scale to emphasise the message that the moan obviously didn't read.

To be honest, i'm not that happy with how it turned out, purely because i think it lacked creativity but i only realised that when it was too late to change it. If i was to do this project again i would have come up with a different original idea.

I didn't really add much to the film in terms of effects, only to that one clips of the warning sign where i added a colorama effect just to create some sort of distortion/altered states feel. I didn't have enough time to add anything else to try and make it look more experimental and artsy. I did however try to use the liquify tool but due to lack of time i couldn't make it look right, and i wasn't happy with how it looked, so i didn't end up using it.
