Movie Poster

2004946

Today i began to think about how my movie poster is going to look like, as well as the name of my film. I want my poster to include a snapshot of one of the scenes in my film, so the audience get an idea what the film will be about, but not know too much about it so that it will be spoiled. I want it to intrigue the viewer to want to know more about my movie, and ultimately to watch it in the end.

Here are some horror film posters i found that i really like, and that i might take inspiration from, and to include in my own horror poster:

The thing i noticed that seems to tie all of the posters together is either a big bold title of the film, or a photo of the main characters as the background. The characters eyes seems to be in a lot of posters i found, probably because peoples eyes can express a lot of emotion, so peoples fear (the blair witch project)/insanity (the shining) can be seen through that. The colour red is also a popular choice when it comes to designing horror film posters, as it represents blood.
